I really do hope the lag and several glitches this game struggles with gets resolved soon. The lag is a big deterrent, because it just takes away from the balanced flow of the game. Move you snake around and create a complete loops to claim your area.
I really do enjoy this game when it’s working properly, but sadly this not even half of the time. Splix.io is a fun snake io game in which you must control a snake and try to conquer the biggest area. And a glitch w/ the green screen on login screen. Filter by these if you want a narrower list of alternatives or looking for a specific functionality of Splix.io. Splix.io alternatives are mainly Absorb Games but may also be Adventure Games or MMORPG Games. Other Splix.io like games are Slither.io, Thrive, Spore and Osmos. A glitch where you end up going in all these weird diagonal angles. The best Splix.io alternative is Agar.io, which is free. A glitch where other players are purposely standing still in one spot without moving, then when you get close they kill you. A glitch where you’ve killed someone, but they don’t disappear, and instead, you die. A glitch that shoots you across the screen. This app definitely needs a lot of bug fixes, and then I will up this to 4 or 5 stars. You could also encounter players’ sprites not even moving for a few seconds, just staying completely stationary (this is more common on teams mode but still happens on normal) There are a few more. You can also hit another player’s line and they won’t die, and then they hit yours and you die, which is also fairly common. It’s common for the player’s sprite to kill itself when it approaches the edge even if it doesn’t hit the edge, and less common but still possible, you’re playing normally and the lines skew and create strange shapes even if you just claimed a simple rectangle, and if you hit the land you claimed, you die. There are also glitches where you claim land but only the line you traced is claimed, not the land inside, and then you need to spend a whole minute getting all that land you just claimed. The worst glitch for me is that when I exit out of the app after a round and then go back in for another, the screen stays green when i tap “normal” and nothing happens, and 15 minutes later it finally comes back.
The mechanics of the game are great, and it’s a great adaptation of a great concept, but glitches drag you through hell.
